The Mid Front-end Developer role:
As a Front-end Developer at Pure Pet Food you will build the company website that customers interact with directly, ensuring it looks excellent, is easy to use, and provides a positive experience for users and therefore, their pets!
Duties and responsibilities of the role are:
You’ll be accountable for:
- Writing, modifying, and maintaining beautiful products and features for Pure Pet Food’s website.
- A high level of code quality, readability, and maintainability using coding standards, best practices, and established guidelines in the industry.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including other developers, designers, and product managers to understand task requirements, share progress updates, and discuss technical solutions.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Creating a beautiful and engaging website that captivates users and elevates the user experience for Pure Pet Food’s customers.
- Developing modular, reusable components to accelerate future development and maintenance.
- Conducting thorough testing of cross-browser and multiple devices, to identify compatibility issues.
- Ensure brand consistency across all platforms by following brand guidelines and design standards.
- Communicate and collaborate with a variety of teams to complete projects and resolve technical issues within the above systems.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

It's essential that you have:
- Strong JavaScript and React knowledge.
- Experience using TypeScript.
- Understanding of source control, such as Git.
- Knowledge of CSS precompilers, such as SASS and LESS.
- Brilliant attention to detail.
- Ability to self manage and prioritise workload.
It would be great if you have:
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Experience with Next.js and Netlify.
- Experience with AWS services
- Production use of headless CMS.
- Experience with GraphQL and Apollo.
- Exposure to Figma or other design tools.
- Unit testing and use of testing frameworks, such as Jest.
- Use of task management software such as Asana.
- Love of dogs and pets!
